BRIEF HISTORY OF AABN

African Aurora Business Network (AABN) was legally registered by guarantee as a Limited Liability Company in Ghana on the 29th of March, 2001 but officially started operations in 2004. The core areas of specialisation of the organisation are in Small and Medium Scale Enterprise Development, Micro Enterprise Development, Organisation Development, Project Management, delivery of Training and Capacity Building targeted at the youth and Women Enterprise Networks and SME’s and Business Associates.

Over the past 10 years, AABN has worked as an Enterprise Development Agency within the larger Private Sector Development space to address the challenges of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana.

Through strategic partnerships, AABN is uniquely positioned within Ghana to provide access to major international institutions, prominent corporations and the Ghanaian Government for Ghana’s smallest and most vulnerable enterprises to provide access to Business Development Services.

We have partnered and served key international public sector institutions with innovative services and products for development partners such as, the World Bank, Global Communities, Vital Voices Global Partnership, MasterCard Foundation etc. In the private sector, some of our clients include actors in the financial industry some of which include UT Bank, CCML, First Allied Savings and Loans, several other micro finance institutions and  over 10,000 National Business Associations and SMEs.
